1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser and identifiers in our mobile apps, do comparable jobs. This policy explains which of them BusMagus Demo uses, why, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.

2. The law that applies

We follow Albanian Law No. 9918/2008 "On Electronic Communications" and Law No. 124/2024 "On Personal Data Protection". For visitors from the European Union we follow Directive 2002/58/EC as transposed in each member state, and for visitors from the United Kingdom the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the service you asked for are placed without consent; every other cookie is placed only after you agree in the cookie notice, and you can change your choice at any time.

3. Strictly necessary

These make the Platform work and cannot be switched off. The session cookie that keeps you signed in during a visit (deleted when you close the browser). The record of your cookie choice (kept for twelve months). Your language, currency and theme preferences, stored in your browser so the Platform remembers them (kept until you clear them). A short-lived token that protects forms against forged submissions.

4. Functional

These remember choices that make the Platform more convenient: recent searches, saved passengers when you are signed in, and the step you had reached in a booking so that a refresh does not lose it. They are stored in your browser and kept until you clear them.

5. Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the Platform is used in aggregate: which pages are visited, where visitors abandon a booking, which features are used and how the site performs. IP addresses are truncated or anonymised. These cookies are set by the providers and typically last between one day and two years. The measurements help us fix what does not work; they are not used to make decisions about you individually.

6. Marketing

We do not place advertising cookies by default. If we run a campaign that uses them in future, they will be listed here and placed only with your consent.

7. Cookies set by others

Payment pages of the bank or payment provider you choose, embedded maps, the anti-abuse check on some forms and the support widget on our Help pages may set their own cookies, which are governed by those providers' policies.

8. How to control cookies

You can change your consent at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the Platform from working. In the mobile apps, notification and analytics preferences are in the app's settings and your device's settings.
